This new information definitely gives you the edge in battle, letting you choose how to approach each objective. When invading a corrupted world, Zann will be able to see just where the individual units will be stationed and how the structures are arranged. This concept of where planetary forces are is a new feature for the expansion. Corrupted worlds offer loads of advantages: enemy fleets can be bribed to let your forces pass through, planetary bonuses are completely negated, and the placement of the enemy's forces and buildings on the planet are instantly revealed to you. Once a defiler is dispatched to a nearby planet, he can choose from a variety of corruption types that hamper the planet's current owners and gives Zann's forces a nice little boost. It's spread by a special unit called a Defiler. Rancors and droidekas are crazy fun but it's Zann's corruption power that's really the whole key to winning the larger game. We've even included clips that show off the changes to the game's strategic mode. But why bother fighting when there might be a way to turn them your side? Since they're so mobile you can only avoid them for so long before being forced to stand and fight against them.

Though their deflector shields keep them protected from laser fire, they don't stand up too well against mass driver weapons.

You can really see these guys in action in our movie of the fight at the factory on Hypori. These powerful units are essentially shielded turrets that can transform into wheels to roll to and from battle. If you take good care of them, you can eventually develop a massive platoon of Rancors that can lay waste to pretty much anything that gets in their way.ДЄnother new unit coming in for the expansion are the droidekas seen in the prequels. The two will become a single unit that you can use to demolish all but the most powerful enemy units. Just move a witch up to one of the many Rancors wandering the planet's surface and she'll jump on its back and ride it. These creepy ladies not only have the ability to steal health from nearby enemy units but, even more impressively, they can actually tame and ride that planet's Rancors into battle. Unfortunately, both the Rebels and Imperials seem to have the same idea so the player will find himself in a three-way fight to claim whatever technology might be floating around out there.ДЇorces of Corruption introduces the Force-sensitive witches of Dathomir. In this case, Zann and his gang have shown up to see what they can scavenge from the wreckage. Floating around the moon of Yavin, the bits and pieces of the dreaded space station - which turned out to be not so invincible after all - form a great backdrop for some thrilling missions. One of the missions is set amid the wreckage of the recently destroyed Death Star. Seeing the rippling water below the platforms on Kamino, or the giant pit that dominates the Utapau map, really brings the experience to life in a way that the flatter maps of the original game just couldn't manage. Though the layers are basically off limits to your units, they add so much to the visual appeal of the levels. You can see it really clearly in our movies of Bespin and the fight at the droid factory on Hypori.
